Acupuncture Columbia MO

Pro Active Chiropractic Center - Columbia

Welcome to Pro Active Chiropractic Center - Columbia located in Columbia MO. At Pro Active Chiropractic Center - Columbia we do our best to first find out if acupuncture can help you. If not, we will refer you to another specialist. If we can we will work on a game plan to fix or repair your problem so that it doesn’t keep coming back, or keep degenerating.

I wanted to give the residents of this area the best non-drug, and non-surgical healthcare that can be provided. I have been working with patients for almost 20 years now. We have helped over 10,000 different patients improve their health without drugs or surgery. That is another reason that I got certified in acupuncture.

I decided to practice acupuncture in Columbia MO because I went to college at the University of Missouri and have always liked Columbia MO. I love how there are so many things to do: Mizzou Sports, great restaurants, concerts, parks, and a lot of cultural activities even though it still has a small-town feel. There are also a lot of sporting events and cultural activities at Columbia College, and Stephens College.

There are several different ways to find our office in Columbia MO. We are located on the corner of Broadway and Garth Street. We are right across the street from the Grant School. We are also diagonally across from the Columbia Public Library. We are right next to a Simmons bank location that is on Garth Street.

What Makes Us Unique

Dr. Scott Stiffey has been in private practice since 2001. We use several different forms of acupuncture such as battlefield acupuncture, auriculotherapy, needle acupuncture, electroacupuncture. We have had patients report success with acupuncture with anxiety, stress, weight loss, back pain, migraines, fertility, and addictions.

We also see many great results with chronic conditions such as knee pain, neuropathy, and frozen shoulders. We also utilize acupuncture for its many healing capabilities. Acupuncture has been found to help over 2,000 different conditions. Our offices utilize some of the newest and latest technology to get quicker and excellent results.

We have worked with patients that have had a wide variety of different conditions. Many of our patients have had excellent results with knee pain, neuropathy, sciatica, back pain, migraines, headaches, shoulder injuries, and we see a lot of patients after they have been in a car wreck. We see a lot of other conditions also so please ask if we can help.

Acupuncture Explained

While the Western doctor views the human body mechanically as a machine that needs to be fixed, the Eastern doctor views the human body as a dynamic organism that is capable of thriving when it is in a balanced state. Thus the Western doctor is like a mechanic and the Eastern doctor is like a farmer. Plants cannot be made to grow, rather the correct environment is created so the plants can thrive.

Common Acupuncture Misconceptions

One of the common questions that we hear is does acupuncture hurt? No, it is usually painless. If we use needles, they are very thin. They are about as thin as a strand of hair. Acupuncture helps many different conditions by strengthening the body’s natural healing system. People who utilize acupuncture report to us on a regular basis have less pain and headaches, sleep better, more energy, less physical stress, and a stronger immune system.

That's a lot to take in, but it is the explanation as to why some acupuncture patients in Columbia MO report improvement in body function. This is not a claim that acupuncture treats disease, but it does suggest that some people will see improvements in conditions that are outside of the treatment area.

We would be honored to see if acupuncture can help you. If you would like to set up an appointment please give us a call or text at (573) 607-2727, or send us a message on our website and we will get right back to you.
